TRAINING: The Roots of Blended Families

This training is specifically for adoptive, foster, and/or stepfamily members.

Children who grow up in blended families are often invited to move, with the result that they lose their place of origin out of sight. The effects of this transition become visible in all phases of life and influence us in our being.

During this workshop, you will experience the complex dynamics of blended families while also acknowledging what impact distance and adoption have on your identity, body, and existence. As we begin to recognize the presence and yearning of belonging, loyalty, forced displacement, confusion, inclusion, and exclusion as a neglected reality of blended families, Adoption coach, Bina de Boer gently encourages you to take your original place again.

We are aware that people are keen to join the TRAINING but who are, due to financial instability and worry, unable to purchase a ticket. Let us know at the latest 24 hours in advance by emailing trainings [​at​] kunstinstituutmelly.nl and we will provide a ticket free of charge and up to €20 in travel costs to be able to travel to Kunstinstituut Melly in Rotterdam.
