A new edition of A Mic of One’s Own, a series of collaborations between Kunstinstituut Melly and The Writer’s Guide (to the Galaxy)!

This time we let two exhibitions at Melly influence the theme of the evening: hygrosummons (iter.02) by Simnikiwe Buhlungu and The Watcher by Ola Hassanain. In both exhibitions water plays an important role.

Performers: we’re looking for you!
You might have guessed: our theme for tonight is water. For your performance you can do as the artists mentioned above and take an ecological approach, but you can also talk about water in all her different forms. Maybe something about Dutch history and their continuous struggle against water? Or the meditative nature of the sea? Or if you want to bitch about water signs (Pisces men, ugh…) or losing your water bottle, we’d very much enjoy that too! Apply by August 31st through this application form.
