Duvel
Ritchie Zebeda (b. 1972, Rotterdam), better known as Duvel, is a veteran Dutch rapper and producer, active in Rotterdam’s hip-hop scene since the early 1980s. Initially part of a breakdance crew (‘Masters of Rock’) and graffiti scenes, he later transitioned into music production. By 1997, he co-founded the influential Rotterdam hip hop group DuvelDuvel, alongside Supahdupah (rapper) and Rein de Vos. Known for blending Dutch lyrics with Surinamese slang, Duvel helped craft pioneering releases like Rijmpappie Nr. 1 (1998), Aap O Theek (2004), and Puur Kultuur (2007). Beyond rapping, he’s produced for notable acts like Jawat!, Opgezwolle, Kubus, and Extince. In 2010, he founded his own label, ROTTZ.
