Lola den Dunnen
Lola den Dunnen (NL, 1999) is a MELLY fellow, currently working in the marketing department at MELLY and assisting with CLIP 7. She was previously a Marketing and Communication Intern (April–August 2025) and a clipper in CLIP #4 (2021–2022).
With a background in Law from Erasmus University and Fine Arts from Willem de Kooning Academy, Lola combines analytical rigor with creative exploration. A former competitive chess player with national rankings and participation in European youth championships, she brings strategic thinking and precision to her work.
As an autonomous artist, her work archives memory through intimate traces of lived experience. Using tears, breath, and menstrual blood on microscopic glass slides, she captures ephemeral moments, reflecting on materiality, impermanence, and the unseen ways memory is inscribed.
