Stichting Mostert-Van der Meijden
The foundation was established by its namesakes, Sieb Mostert (1950) and Annegie van der Meijden (1947–2023). Throughout their lives, they travelled extensively around the world and lived and worked in several countries.
Sieb has spent considerable time in India, where he became involved with charitable initiatives that support young people in their personal and professional development.
Annegie devoted part of her career to working as a lecturer and staff member at the Academy for Speech and Performance (Academie voor Woord en Gebaar) in Utrecht. She was deeply committed to supporting young people involved in theatre and music and, more broadly, to fostering the cultural development of young people.
Sieb, and Annegie during her lifetime, have always been strongly dedicated to the development and well-being of young people.
In the Netherlands, the foundation aims to support emerging artists, primarily by providing financial assistance for cultural productions.
In India, the foundation seeks to enable young people to begin or complete their education, giving them better opportunities as they enter adult working life. To achieve this, the foundation actively seeks partnerships with local charitable organisations that support young people in their development.
