WORKSHOPS WITH ART MEDIATOR

Every Wednesday to Sunday between 11 am and 5 pm, walk in at any time.

Visit Kunstinstituut Melly this summer with your Holiday Passport and discover the surprising world of contemporary art!

During these creative summer workshops, we invite children to discover and engage with contemporary art alongside enthusiastic art mediators. Take a peek at the exhibitions of artist Kelly Sinnapah Mary and, full of inspiration, proceed to make your own art. Discover how the artist creates her own safe space and create one of your own.

These workshops encourage us to look at the artworks in new ways, stimulate the imagination and look at new techniques of the artists. In the work The Fables of Sanbras (2021) Sinnapah Mary made pastel drawings on the pages of the book La Fontaine's Fables, where she imagines how Sanbras lives together with children and animals. For this workshop, you are encouraged to bring an old book or magazine in which you can draw and tear.

This event is freely available for kids with a Holiday Passport and their guardians.

On 20 August a few of the artworks made will be exhibited, visit your own artwork then, at Kunstinstituut Melly!
