Activity inspired by the work of Jasmine Thomas-Girvan

Throughout this activity, we will examine the artwork of artist Jasmine Thomas-Girvan. The artist lives in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The artist lives in a house surrounded by nature. This nature is important to the artist and many of the materials she uses in her artworks come from here. The type of artworks that Jasmine Thomas-Girvan creates are called assemblage art. This means that she combines many different materials and objects with each other. In the end, you will create your own assemblage artwork, these will be shared on the website. Curious?
