Shadow World: Johan Grimonprez

Artist Johan Grimonprez discusses his soon to be released feature film, Shadow World with writer and curator Adam Kleinman. Sharing scenes from the cutting room floor, their discussion traces the line between fact and fiction, truth and lie, reflecting on unreliable narrators within the framework of the documentary form. Shadow World explores the global arms industry, a business in which profits are calculated in tens of millions of dollars, while losses are counted in human lives, pulling back the curtain to reveal the corruption and the cover-ups behind weapons deals.

The event also marks the launch of the Art In The Age Of… publication featuring essays and interviews with a host of participants who shaped and contributed to the year-long project.
