Kunstavond: Publication-binding workshop with Felipe Mujica

On the occasion of the last weekend of the Draw Withdraw Redraw exhibition, Felipe Mujica will launch his small-edition artist book and guide participants to stitch the publication through a saddle-stitch binding workshop, a technique commonly used for zine-format publications.

Mijn Klok Staat Stil is a small-edition artist book that documents the embroidery workshop led by Felipe Mujica in preparation for the exhibition. The publication features risograph prints and digital color photocopies of the drawings in his notebook. The notebook, with its own grid and internal logic, serves as the starting point for each of Felipe Mujica's textile projects. The drawings emerge through an engagement with both Western and Indigenous histories of geometric abstraction, as well as textile traditions specific to particular regions. Each composition develops through subtle variations and expansions of an underlying set of rules.

The workshop is open to everyone, without any prior experience required.
