Camille de Bruin
Camille de Bruin (NL, 1996) is an artist educator whose practice moves between visual art and participatory forms of learning. She studied Art Education at the Willem de Kooning Academy, where she first joined Kunstinstituut Melly as an education intern. After graduating in 2025, she returned to Melly as part of the Education team, contributing to the development and coordination of programs that connect contemporary art with diverse audiences.
Over the past years, Camille has worked as an educational project manager and art teacher with various institutions, gaining experience in art interpretation and audience engagement. She facilitates encounters with art for a wide range of participants, from young children visiting a museum for the first time to university students engaged in in-depth discussions.
In her work as an educator, project coordinator, and artist, Camille is committed to social, interactive, and participatory practices of making and learning. Co-creation and co-exploration are central to her approach, with dialogue functioning as a catalyst for creative processes. Her practice focuses on creating spaces where learning, making, and conversation come together, inviting people to look closely, think critically, and imagine collectively.
