The Niteshop
The Niteshop starts from the idea that the knowledge and skills of citizens on the fringes of society are indispensable in tackling transition issues. It is a place where established and up-and-coming designers, artists, hustlers and scientists meet and collaborate on the city of tomorrow.
Increasingly, the shop serves as a living archive for contemporary diasporic urban culture. The shop makes the heritage of a post-colonial society visible on its shelves and in its program. The goal is to trigger the imagination of our communities and other stakeholders to influence urban development. And like any convenience store, cigarettes are sold loose under the counter.
