Yasser Ballemans

How do we imagine a more just future? This question drives the practice of Yasser Ballemans. His work brings together ritual, democratic renewal and contemporary sculpture in public space. Alongside monumental artworks, he develops platforms for social innovation and collective artistic practices, including Kunstvlaai. As a curator, advisor (including to the Dutch Council for Culture) and educator, Ballemans bridges aesthetics and social engagement. His interdisciplinary practice uses art as a means of fostering a more inclusive society.
