Bobby's Gin

Bobby’s Gin is a refined expression of Dutch Courage fueled with Indonesian spirit. It’s a fresh, spice-forward combination of classic Schiedam gin botanicals, juniper, fennel seeds, coriander, and rose hips and traditional Indonesian spices from grandfather Jacobus ‘Bobby’ Alfons’ Pinang Raci recipe, including lemongrass, cloves, cinnamon, and cubeb peppers.

The story begins with Bobby himself, who was born in Indonesia and later lived in the Netherlands. He infused Dutch jenever with the warm, aromatic spices of his homeland. Decades later, his grandsons Sebastiaan and David de Klerk revived his recipe, launching Bobby’s Schiedam Dry Gin in 2014.

Their vision was simple yet powerful: to bottle a shared heritage, a gin that tastes like home for two cultures at once. The result is a balanced, fragrant spirit that reflects the precision of Dutch distilling and the depth of Indonesian spice.

Today, Bobby’s Gin remains proudly family-run. David and Sebastiaan continue to tell their grandfather’s story.
