A timeline compiled by Elijah Rhode and Thato Makatu, presenting a constellation of ‘moments’ stitched together unchronologically.

Everything hanging here was found while researching the life, work, and artistic practices of Moshekwa Langa: articles, journal entries, receipts, exhibition invitations, catalog excerpts, floor plans, posters, and the like. Much of this material is part of official records and archives; much of it is evidence of Moshekwa’s life and practice existing beyond these spaces. Some of these moments find themselves either unacknowledged by the canon or resist the limitations that inclusion in the canon can impose.
