About the Activities
The activity cards developed for the exhibitions offer playful and thoughtful ways to engage with the artworks. Whether used during guided tours or explored independently, the activities invite visitors of all ages to look more closely, move through the space with intention, and connect what they see to personal ideas and experiences.
From observation and drawing exercises to storytelling prompts, poetry, and group games, each activity encourages active participation and a deeper understanding of the themes presented in the exhibitions. These activities are designed to be accessible, creative, and open-ended, supporting multiple ways of seeing and thinking with contemporary art.
The visitors can find the activities at our front desk.
Activity inspired by the work of Luana Vitra: The beads of my rosary are artillery bullets
The activities surrounding this exhibition invite visitors to explore materials, movement, and memory. Through group exercises, drawing, storytelling, and sensory observation, participants are asked to connect with the raw elements used in the work such as metals and textiles, and reflect on themes like spirituality, natural resources, and symbolism. Some tasks are quiet and introspective, others more active and physical, making space for different types of learning and engagement.
Activity inspird by the work of Jabu Arnell: Disco Ball #13: A Kind of Black
This activity program uses music, movement, writing, and improvisation to interact with the ever-changing installation. Visitors clap rhythms to disco music, create freestyle raps, sketch their reflections in broken mirrors, and imagine what lies behind symbolic objects. Other activities focus on the emotional tone of the work encouraging reflection on vulnerability, transience, and presence. The emphasis is on play, embodiment, and interpretation through all the senses.
