Activity inspired by the work of Lisa Tan

During this activity featuring the work of artist Lisa Tan, we consider waiting rooms in places like a doctor's office. The artist has spent years researching the imagery in waiting rooms and the different types of waiting rooms we have all visited. How do these spaces affect us when we are waiting for our doctor's appointment? During the activity, you will study two waiting rooms that are featured in the 84 STEPS exhibition. A psychologist's waiting room and a neurologist's waiting room. During the activity, you will reflect on, "What is there to see in a waiting room?" and "Whose artworks are hanging in these waiting rooms?" In the end, you will create a 3D collage of your own imagined waiting room.
