Exhibition Reading: NO HUMANS INVOLVED by Samir Bantal

Throughout the summer, Witte de With offers special exhibition readings of NO HUMANS INVOLVED. This exhibition, by the multidisciplinary artist collective HOWDOYOUSAYYAMINAFRICAN?, urgently engages questions of ontology that encompass the multiplicity of our historically and socially produced human identities. Members of the collective have been in residence in Rotterdam for two months to create video and sculptural installations, printed matter, sonic scapes and film shorts that situate different modes of perception as forms of aesthetic and conceptual reinvention, protest, and disobedience to normative orders.

On July 3, the second exhibition reading is given by Samir Bantal (architect and Executive Manager, OMA) from 6 to 7 pm. A previous reading was done by Teana Boston-Mammah (Researcher, Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences).
The reading takes place during the monthly Art Evening by Kunstblock, for more information see www.kunstblock.nl.
